Waking Up To Truth

A heretic, as defined by the church, is someone who chooses not to believe the doctrines of the church, but instead chooses to follow the truth as he or she perceives it. My hope for us is that we would be joyful heretics in this world of suffering and injustice; that mercy and truth will never leave us; that we will write them on the tablets of our hearts. Then it will be our turn to be gratefully surprised, as false beliefs fall away into the light of truth that can set us all free.
