Red Sox infielder Nick Punto minced no words to describe his team's 6-4 loss to the Twins on Saturday, a contest in which the Sox held a 2-1 lead after seven innings and a 4-2 advantage after eight.
"They're all devastating now. You get this late in the season and you look in the standings and we're not really sitting in a great position in the wild card. There are a lot of teams. We really can't afford to lose games like that," said Punto. "There's too much talent in this room for us not to be playing a little better."
