Romney headed to Houston for a fundraiser

A week after Texas helped him win the delegate votes he secured to win the Republican presidential nomination, Mitt Romney returned to the Lone Star State on a four-city tour to rally supporters and to raise money. "I'm seeing almost a tidal wave of support," said Scott Caven, a Houston banker who served as finance director for Rick Perry's first two campaigns for governor. Romney's San Antonio event at the Marriott River Center Hotel is hosted by billionaire Red McCombs, Clear Channel Communications founder Lowry Mays and Gene Powell, chairman of the University of Texas Board of Regents.
