Over the years running a think tank, I cannot tell you how many startup companies I advised or how many business plans I had read that had to do with alternative energy. Many of these young entrepreneurs thought that these new forms of energy would save the planet, and change the world, and they wanted to get in on it. Some of that was opportunism and greed, and some was bona fide passion for something larger than themselves, as they had been brainwashed into believing so by their socialist professors of academia.
