Alan Rodriguez, a 25-year-old Latino, was fatally shot Sunday, March 4, in the 9600 block of South Halldale Avenue in Gramercy Park, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Rodriguez was pulling into his home near an alley about 6:45 p.m. when he exited and was approached by an unknown person, said LAPD Criminal Gang and Homicide Det. L. Doster, who is handling the case.
The assailant shot Rodriguez several times, Doster said, and then fled the scene.
The victim's family heard the gunshots and called 911. Paramedics arrived and pronounced Rodriguez dead at the scene.
Doster said no arrests have been made in connection with the case. The shooter was described as a black male.
