Wear a hat for brain tumour research

BRAIN Tumour Research is asking people to Wear a Hat next week to raise awareness about the need for more research.

Actor Tom Chambers, starring in the World Premiere Production of Top Hat at The Bristol Hippodrome was delighted to lend his support to the day, on March 30.

He said "I was shocked to discover that the prognosis for a brain tumour patient hasn't significantly improved for a generation.

"The only way we will improve outcomes for patients is through research so that's why I'm supporting Brain Tumour Research."

Wear a Hat Day is an annual awareness event which encourages people to make donations in order to wear a hat to school or college.

This year Brain Tumour Research is encouraging schools, businesses and organisations nationwide to challenge their "head" to wear a hat for the day.

From sponsored silences to charity runs and office bake-offs, organisations are being encouraged to raise money.
